Chile joins International Trade Mark System

The World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) has announced that on 4th April 2022 the Republic of Chile deposited its instrument of accession to the Madrid Protocol (the International Trade Mark system) making it the 111th member of the Madrid System. The Protocol will enter into force in Chile on 4th July 2022. The Madrid Union now covers 127 countries which, together, represent more than 80% of world trade.
